While this disc is FROM the written publication exactly as pictured, this sale does NOT include that written Manual as pictured in several (actually most) of the photos. The DVD / CD – ROM & associated pages have been carefully removed from that written Manual. That manual is listed to sell IN A DIFFERENT LISTING / SALE. This sale is for 1 Disc ONLY and NOT the associated written Manual. We just don’t want any surprises. This disc is in Adobe Acrobat Reader format (PDF). It requires Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Acrobat Reader, or Adobe reader software to be pre-installed on your computer (a free on-line download). All Computer/System requirements are listed and as pictured in photo(s). Obviously we have no control over your computer, its operating system, software, programs, operator skills or network. They are helpful about 90% of the time. This disc is not Mac compatible. ACCORDING TO THE CUMMINS TECH DEPARTMENT (Gary in Kentucky at Cummins – who can be reached at 502 x 540 x 4981): If the disc is SILVER (not white) then it is in read only format (I believe that is CD-ROM / and not DVD) and will require Adobe reader versions 8.0 or older (9.0 sometimes works, but according to the Tech department can be sketchy at times – I have no idea what that comment actually means) to be installed on your computer. These versions can all be easily downloaded from the internet. Please confirm the operating systems required as most older discs need Windows XP or 2000. Newer Operating systems will not work. Please confirm this fact before you become the proud owner of the disc. The Cummins tech explained it this way – “Paper can’t update itself” (they were referring to the disc obviously). The material is still 100% factory sealed / fresh and accurate. All have been operable on the proper computer/software setups. Occasionally various anti-virus programs pop up a trojan error. Cummins Tech assures me that this is COMPLETELY in error. No worries / simply a false reading. We are not computer geeks and have no assistance to provide. We sell sealed discs – We simply have NEVER loaded one on a computer. Open material is garbage to us as we can’t guarantee the quality of the disc itself. All Cummins discs are factory tested for operability. My grandkids already know more about computers than I ever hope to. I’m just sayin’…. Hopefully everyone gets our policy.
